Counseling Services
Contracting organizations sponsor workplace Wellness. There is no charge to employees or family members for our services. The clinical benefit offered to employees and family members whose EAP services are provided by Workplace Wellness consists of three (3) counseling sessions with a professional, licensed therapist to discuss problems (whether personal or work related) that interfere with the employee's normal life functioning. There are no limitations as to how often an employee may access their basic clinical benefits. The guideline for utilization is three sessions per incident. This means that an employee or dependent family member could, conceivably, come to Workplace Wellness several times during a given period for different problems
(*Note: Workplace Wellness has agreements with several different organizations, this basic benefit may vary, slightly, for a specific organization.

Critical Incident Stress Management
Following any workplace trauma (e.g., death, accident, medical emergency, or any life threatening incident), a Workplace Wellness staff member will meet to provide consultation on the best way to care for the affected personnel. Interventions can include debriefing individuals regarding their emotional response to the situation. It is our intent to provide this service within 48 hours of the incident. (Research has indicated that debriefing is most effective when conducted within 24 to 48 hours, and up to one week, of the incident.) |
